The Imam and his supporters are extremely gratified for the already overwhelming show of support in response to the unfortunate prospect of the Qatanani family’s deportation.  The list of voices calling out for fairness is extraordinarily diverse and includes a US Congressman, State Legislators, law enforcement officials from the District FBI, County Sheriffs and Municipal Police Chiefs, State and Local Prosecutors and Judges. The response from other faith based communities has been equally broad including Conservative and Reform Rabbis and representatives of nearly every denomination of the Christian Faith.

The list of public and religious figures in support of the Imam is indeed impressive, but this case requires a broad based grass-roots movement to succeed. "Americans For Qatanani" (A4Q) was established by Americans who value freedom, democracy and justice, to advocate the Imam’s case. This coalition is a grass-roots effort not affiliated with his legal team. Rather, it is a joint effort of people of all faiths and creeds who feel that the Imam is indispensable to our great country, the United States of America.
